OREGON Minimum Wage to $7.50 Effective January 1, 2006
Per Ballot Measure 25 in November 2002 requires the Labor Commissioner, who directs the Bureau of Labor and Industries, to annually adjust the minimum wage for inflation based on a rise in the U.S. City Average Consumer Price Index (CPI) for All Urban Consumers for All Items. For the year 2005, the CPI increased by 3.6 percent which translates into a 25 cent increase under this formula.
