On September 14, 2004, S.B. 276 was signed into law amending the "Conscientious Employee Protection Act," P.L.1986, c.105 (C.34:19-1 et seq.). The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development revised the text of the Conscientious Employee Protection notice. In addition to posting the notice, employers are also required to give written notices of the protections, obligations, rights and procedures provided by the law annually to each employee in English and in the language spoken by the majority of the employer's employees, if that is not English.
The Payment of Wages and State Wage and Hour Law Abstract postings have been updated with the new Department name and logo along with some minor verbiage changes.
