On December 6, 2004, the Republican-controlled Senate voted 50 to 8 to override Governor Patakis veto of SB 07682 increasing the New York Minimum Wage. The progressive wage increases will become effective January 1, 2005 - $6.00, January 1, 2006 - $6.76 and January 1, 2007.- $7.15
