FLORIDIANS PASS AMENDMENT TO ESTABLISH A STATE MINIMUM WAGE IN FLORIDA
On November 2nd, 2004, Floridians voted to amend Floridas Constitution to increase the minimum wage in Florida by a whopping 71.3% to 28.7% majority. This new minimum wage law requires employers to pay all employees covered by the FLSA (Federal Labor Standards Act) a minimum of $6.15 per hour for all hours worked.

UPDATE ON THE FLORIDA STATE MINIMUM WAGE
The U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division has informed the Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation (AWI) to be sure that employees know the difference between the Federal Minimum Wage and the NEW FLORIDA STATE MINIMUM WAGE. In order to accomplish this, we have added the Florida State Minimum Wage to the Florida All-On-One poster to assure your compliance.
