Arizona Minimum Wage Increase for 2015

Starting January 1, 2015, Arizonans will be seeing an increase to their minimum wage rate. As calculated by the Industrial Commission of Arizona, the minimum wage rate will increase to $8.05 per hour. For tipped employees, an employer may pay up to $3.00 per hour less than the minimum wage if he or she establishes that for each week, the employee received not less than the minimum wage for all worked hours.

In 2006, Arizona voters enacted the Raise the Minimum Wage for Working Arizonans Act. The Act established the minimum wage rate and provided for an annual increase based on the increase in the cost of living.
